That's the best thing to do. =) Good luck! I hope all goes well.
Thanks ladys still a hard choice probably won't make it till its time. Lol
It kind of burns going in, then it just feels slightly awkward while in, but it doesn't hurt at all while it's in or after.
No I've had one several times now and never had pain after.
I haven't had one (catheter) does it hurt after?
Yes you have to get the catheter if you get an epidural. I didn't feel it be put in or when they took it out.
Food yall have to get a catheter?
I had one for my first. The pains were too much to handle and it would have lasted for another 4 hours. When I got to 9.5, I was able to feel the contractions again and thought I needed more, but then realized I needed to push, so I didn't get more meds. I knew when to push and I felt everything. Even when it worked, I wasn't numb, but the contractions didn't hurt. With my second, i was going to ask for one, but it was already time to push when they got too painful. I would suggest waiting it out as long as you can handle, and see how far you are. If you are only 4-6, then get it because it might take a while, but if you are around 8-9, you could probably wait it out. It's all about how you feel at that time. It's hard to prepare for it when you've never went through it before.
I was induced and got the epidural the contractions were too painful and I couldn't handle them. I couldn't feel the contractions but my doctor told me exactly when to push and I pushed my daughter out in 15mins.
I don't like the feeling of being numb and really worried about not being able to tell when I need to push..
Im also gettn induce monday 2 n i been thinkn long n hard on tht cuz i really dnt want no pains
