For you pack slippers that are comfy!! And breast pads!! Because if ur milk lets down fast you will leak through bras and shirts like crazy. I would also pack a pair of comfy pants and you might choose to wear your own pads instead of hospital ones too.
I just had my baby on the 5th! I only knew it was real cus when i chk d my undies it wasnt discharge it was clear wet fluid! I was going pee when i felt the first gush so i wasnt sure if it was my water or not but i did what the hospital told me to do and put a pad on to chk and when i did i started gushing more and more here and there it was a bout an hr for me when i left to go to the hospital being my first i was too nervous to wait i wanted to be there and taken care of! Contractions for me started about an hr and half after i arrived at the hospital but i was at 1 cm and didnt move for 7 hrs my body just wouldnt relax i was in so much pain but once i got the epi was good to go i went in active labor and kept laboring the entire nite it was 6 am when i was 10 cm so i wasnt pushing till after 7 am when my dr finally arrived and was ready to deliver him i only pushed for 27 mins i think about 5 contractions and he came right out need a lil help w the vacumn thing but luckily i said yes cus his cord was around him but he started breathing and crying instantly! he was born at 747 am on the 5th and he was 6lbs 7.2 oz and 19 inches! much smaller than i had thought i bought big clothes and nothing fits him!! and as far as bags yes my car was washed gased and ready to go bags were loaded and car seat installed LOL he was born on his EDD so i knew it was coming sooner or later!

I just had my 3rd baby last Friday the 8th. I started having a few random braxton hicks i remember 1 at 8pm and another at 10 and i sent my friend a text saying "2 BH contractions in 2 hrs, why cant they be the real thing ". It was the night b4 my due date so i was so anxious. At 11 i was getting BH's regularly. Well they turned into real contractions but they weren't painful yet. I timed them on my phone AP and at 130am i called LD and woke up hubby because they were 5 min apart lasting 45secs-75secs and were intense. I arrived at ld at 330 and i was 6 cent, by 530 i was 8 and at 645 i was 10 but the hospital was n the middle of the 7am shift change so my baby was crowning for about 20 min until the dr came n to deliver. My son was born at 77:22

I went to the doctors on Tuesday, and my blood pressure was too high. (It kept getting higher over the last few weeks) so my midwife said I needed to bed induced the next morning. Well, Tuesday evening, I was down in the barnyard with my dad when a thunderstorm came up and I hate storms and the lightening was hitting the ground around us. Well, I got scared and started crying and finally got to my house and another storm came up and we got six inches of rain in 45 minutes, so flooding was everywhere. My hubby & I decided to go drive thru high water and I started noticing contractions. They kept keeping stronger and by midnight they were ten minutes apart. I stayed home and tired to sleep but that didn't happen. At 6am hubby and I headed to the hospital, (I was supposed to be induced at 630am) and when my midwife checked me I was 2.5cm and I didn't have to get induced. By 1230, my contractions were 2 min apart and very painful. My midwife said I had to get an epidural due to my blood pressure, and she said I was 7cm, but couldn't check completely and by 1pm, I had gotten my epidural and was 9cm. I rested for an hour and at 321pm on 05/30/13 my son was born 7lb7oz and 21 inches long. My hospital stay was wonderful, got to go home Friday morning. I packed my bag as if I was going on vacation for three nights, but comfy clothes.
Labor with my first was a horrible experience...i was induced due to pre eclampsia. I spent 23 hours in labor before i finally got an epi which did not work and was pulled out of my back when i leaned up to push because it got caught on the sheets. I spent 3 hours pushing and kept passing out between pushes. I honestly do not remember most of my labor because i was given quite a bit of stadol and another kind of pain med and both were the equivalence of being completely drunk..my blood pressure sky rocketed and all visitors were asked to leave...and i hope this labor goes MUCH smoother
Lol I was at work was not feeling well at all and had some spotting so I left early when I got off the bus my water broke I had to call my hubby to come pick me up lol I thought I had pee pee my self so I went home took a shower and about 6 hours later my contractions started so I waited till they git closer and then went to the hospital when I was admitted they asked if I was having contractions with a puzzled face I said not any more the nurse said oh tour having them I guess I was so nervous that I didn't feel the pain lol my son was born that afternoon I cried and couldn't believe it I was someone's mom his life dependwd on me and he's now three and still beautiful as every I also have a little girl I was induced to bring her out she sacred the holly crap out of me she didn't cry right away but when she did I cried all with her :) good luck to you your almost there
