eviction in a week!

Hey ladies hope ur all well.
Bit of a long one here but just wondering if anyone's been through the same and for u to consider me in ur prayers,
Next week on the 23rd we are being evicted from my father in laws house, we've been on the housing list for 3 years (in uk) but we had to privately rent because my father in laws house was not over crowded so our priority was not very high even thou my son was  due to be born and my late mother in law was alcoholic and had mental health issues,  anyway after privately renting for a year we started to get on to some financial trouble and then the landlady broke the back door and left it on bathroom bolts for 3 months due to the lock freezing and their poor workmanship,  after ringing them daily to get it replaced without any luck, we moved out, back in with my father in law, the landlady got funny and went through the council to get money a months rent cos we gave no notice and money for lino that had come up even thou it was from wear n tear we couldn t prove it so we're now paying d council back, my father in law has now decided because I am pregnant again, despite being on birth control, that he wants us out because he wants to down size and there's been lots of arguements lately, any way he have us a months notice and we've been looking into private rent but we cannot find any one that will either accept our lil dog, or our poor credit , or any help from the council? So it looks like it'll be temporary accommodation for us, I'm Really nervous!! Just glad my son is only 2, so he won't really get what's going on bug iv rang the council twice a week asking for suggestions of estate agents or land Lords et. But they just say keep trying, I really don't need this as well as general pregnancy,  just hoping we will be settled in time for baby no2 in sept, fingers crossed,  rant over.

Ok thank u mama I now have an idea of what's gonna happen, he said he's expecting them to ring him but he's not changing his mind so if we go in on the 23rd will they put us up somewhere like a hostel or b&b that day? I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have a two n half year old son.

In the UK if you go to the council and say your homeless and your father in law refuses to have you stay there because you don't get along and there no where else to go.they will call your father in law and if he can agree to tell them he can no longer have you there they should house you straight away.alot of times it could even be a hostel for a few weeks then most likely temp accommodation but I know many people who are in there temp acommodation for many years so not to unsettling. because ur preg and have a young child If you say your homeless in a emergency situation they usually help

I hate to say it but you need to get rid of your dog this happened to my mom too. No one would accept the dog or she had poor credit so she finally decided it was the dog or her children that would suffer and of course she choose to give us a stable home and found someone else to take the dog:)

Yer my council does that scheme which we are happy to do but can't find anywhere that will accept that or if we don't tell them were getting help from council then we still have the issue of bad credit with no guarantor.  With only a week to go im jus trying to prepare myself for endless council meetings and going into temporary accommodation,  have anyone of u been in temporary accommodation? ?

Hi I'm currently also on the council waiting list in the UK an it's an absolute nightmare. We used to private rent and it was so expensive we got ourselves into a financial muddle. Currently living with my MIL and it's driving me up the wall. I currently have 4 cats and finding anywhere that will let us have them is nothing short of impossible. Some councils do a rent deposit scheme where the council pay the deposit and first months rent for you to help you get sorted. Just an idea :) x

Thanks hun i really hope so, dunno if it's the same but if it's something needs doing that's your landlords responsibility but they don't do it within 7 days then u can go to your local council, we didn't know this n wasn't told this till after, something I wish I'd have known.
We're just being left in the dark atm u have no clue what's gonna happen!

I'm sorry. It'll be hard for sure to try to get on your feet when your behind on the first house. I really hope your father in law will work with you.
I remember your previous post your parents won't help. Hopefully when it gets closer to time he will.

We struggled in our previous house with paying for anything other than priority bills so we are currently paying off debts from when we Lived there like we needed stuff like a washing machine etc but struggled with repayments so we're still paying stuff off which effects our credit badly! It *****, but I know it was my first house n i wasn't really advised, was nieve n had t learn d hard way!

What about your credit. I know here in the us. Married or not. Someone else's credit can't affect yours.
