I'm here at the hospital in the waiting room. My good friend is 24 weeks and about to give birth. The Dr's said there's not a high chance of them living so she's freaking out and WILL NOT PUSH. She's trying to keep the baby in, but is only making it worse. I know this is hurting her extremely bad. Please pray that her baby girl will be just fine.

I was born at 21 weeks in 1994 because my mom was in a coma.  I spent six months in nicu, and after that when I went home,  had to be hooked up to monitors that beeped if my heart rate or breathing rate was abnormal. I'm now 20, and completely healthy besides chronic bronchitis,  seasonal allergy induced asthma,  and anxiety,  and only one of those is from being born that early.  Prayers,  and there's always hope

Lots of prayers!! I lost my nephew in February. He was 10 days old and he came at 26 weeks. My sister had preeclampsia and it was causing all of her organs to shut down and her liver enzymes were through the roof. Her body was rejecting her son. I will be praying for this little one and her family!! Please keep us updated on this? Thanks! And stay positive! :)

Yay! That's wonderful news. Doctors can work miracles with babies <3 technology has come a long way. I'm sure that sweet baby will be just fine :) it'll be a long road and a good stay in the hospital, but so worth it. Hope mama is doing well and staying as calm as she can! Congrats to her!

My condolences go out to all of you who have had to experience something so horrible as to losing a child. My friends baby is doing good at the moment, their transferring her downtown to the NICU that accepts children under 30 weeks. The only hard part is she's in the hospital for 2 days, so instead of walking to see her baby in the other room. She has to wait until she's out of the hospital and drive over there. Dr's say she's looking good, but only time can tell!! Thank you ladies for all of your prayers, I truly believe they helped! As of my friend, she's finally calmed down and getting some sleep!

babytaylordixie hun how did she survive at 21weeks babys born that early hasnt got a chance living born between 20,21weeks i had my daughter at 21weeks and 6days and she passeed away they said shes to early and they couldnt do anything they didnt even try so i dont understand the vjat born 21weeks but they did fond a infection in her stomach and didnt give her anu antibotics  and now its making me annoyed now my daughter could of made it if they tried :-) but im glad that baby is fine and I'll pray for your friend how come she has to give birth now if you dont mind me  asking if you dont wanna answer its fine ive delieved 2baby girls before 24weeks 23weeks and 21+6days they did try with my first but my waters went early so they didnt try anymore because they said her chest was ripping and they stopped and then they didnt try with my babygirl in november because they said shes small and to early but think positive your friends story is scarry you know but I no and understand because ive been there good luck and I'll pray for her

With all of the amazing things doctors and hospitals can do, tell her not to give up just yet! A friend of mine had her baby at 22 weeks, and he's now a normal, happy 2 year old. Tell her to push, and let the doctors get to the baby as soon as they possibly can. The quicker they start medical care, the higher the chance they'll make it.
