feeling down and useless

I am 17 weeks pregnant with my first child. Recently I've been feeling nothing but useless. I have always been a hard worker and now going from working over 40hrs a week and a £350 pay check weekly to doing nothing is driving me insane. I am a trained chef and then went on an apprenticeship in cake confectionery. I got sacked from my apprenticeship when they found out I was pregnant and no one will hire me. I am starting to become depressed. I am stuck in my house day after day. My poor fiance is having to work longer hours now and I feel terrible. Has anybody got any advice to what I can do to preoccupy myself before I totally lose it? Thank you xxx

I swear I was gonna post sumthin like this... I thought I was the only one...
My job didn't fired me but until further notice crap... so I did go to retail work it took me 3 months to find one but I did and they knew I was prego and totally excepts it... I'm thinking about keeping it as a part time once I give birth because they were so excepting of me and really showed what any job should do for a pregnant woman!!!! Gud luck sweetie

I'm on the same boat the company I worked for said they weren't firing me but I wasn't gonna work until further notice... I earned good money and I loved my job I ended up selling my car because of it and now I've just been at home the past 20 weeks I feel like I'm going crazy my manager told me to find a job as a hostess somewhere but that hasn't worked out at all

Obviously it isn't ideal, but finding a job in retail for right now would lighten his burden and would make you feel much more useful. It also won't be too hard on your body, and retail is always hiring!
