Anybody else have a surprise story to tell?

January 6th my blood test confirmed that I was pregnant.  I was told that I was 6 weeks and needed to wait another 2 before getting an ultrasound.  I went in January 19 for my first ultrasound expecting to see just a little blob.. well what a surprise.  The screen shows up with little arms and legs.. I'm actually 18 weeks and had no idea.  This little baby has been so kind to me.  I haven't had any morning sickness, the only reason I got the blood test was because I felt pain by my ovaries thinking I had a cyst.  Never would have thought it was just my body stretching for this baby.

I can't believe just in September my doctor told me I needed to go to a specialist to have a baby.  And here I was pregnant a week before I was told that.  This has really been a blessing.  I can't wait to meet my baby on June 22nd!

When I was pregnant with my daughter I was still bleeding every month, never had any pregnancy symptoms or anything. Then one day I started leaking colostrum, but at the time I had no clue what it was, so I did what nobody should ever do and googled it. Webmd told me it was either cancer or I was pregnant. So I thought for sure I had cancer. My SO wanted me to take a test just in case and it was a huge dark positive. So the next day we went to the doctor and they confirmed it. That day they just asked all the questions and then told me to come in the next day to get an ultrasound to find out my due date. When we went in the next day I was a few days away from 20 weeks. I couldn't believe it. My daughter was born at 40 weeks 6 days, so I only had to be pregnant for 21 weeks. With this pregnancy I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks 5 days when I didn't get my period before I was supposed to put my Nuvaring back in. So I have had 2 surprise pregnancies, but I couldn't be happier.

Congratulations on your wonderful blessing hun. I'm glad your having auch an amazing pregnancy! I have a story too (: I was 15years old and had waited over a week for my period and it didn't seem like it was coming so I had a feeling I was pregnant since we hadn't used protection a few times but though no I couldn't be since I had not one symptom and had lost weight. I went into planned parenthood and they tested my urine and confirmed I was pregnant i though I was about 2-3 weeks but when they did the ultrasound I was 16 weeks and a few days! I freaked out but now my son is 4 and me and my husband who is his dad could never live without him. We planned our daughter this time around because we didn't want crazy suprises like that!

Thank you!! I am totally excited!

Yes, since I was 16 (23 now)I stopped having my period.  I could only have it when I took birth control or norethindrone.  So I would just go the max of 6 months without a period then get meds to have it.  My endocrinologist was the only doctor to take the time out of all these years to tell me I have PCOS.  That's when she told me I should go to a specialist.  My other doctor just kept throwing me meds to fix the problem for the month.
