Date trouble. .. .

Im getting entirely to many differet dates for how far along i am. Like i posted before i went to the emerencyroom on Oct. 28, 2010 and they told me by ultrasound i was approximately 15weeks. Went to see an OBGYN on Nov. 10th, 2010 he told me by measuring my fundus(Spelled wrong) i was 15 weeks that day. To make matters worse i changed doctors under my mothers orders and that appointment was Dec. 2nd, 2010 there were 2 doctors for this appointment . . . . .The first one felt my stomach and said i felt 18 weeks an the secound one which i think was the main doctor did the same and said i was around 19 weeks.  They never gave me EDD so can you plz help.  .. Is the baby tiny or is he/she ok? I have a Ultrasound comeing up soon they said they were going to have to compare it to the u/s done in the emergency room.

I went to the Doctors on Dec. 10th and the told me that im having a BOY. . . . They measured him and he came up to 20 weeks and 1 day.  That comes up to exctaly when i thought my LMP was so im just excited and very happy. . . .

I was just confused bcause nothing is adding up to the ultrasound on Oct.28. I want to make sure he/she is okay i heard the heart beat and everything so i just want the baby to grow okay. With my daughter she came out on time, she was just little 5Ib 8oz..

The way they estimate a "due date," is to take your LMP, count back 3 months and add 7 days.  This calculates out to be (assuming your LMP was July 21-23) April 28-30.  This is just an estimate.  As far as measuring your fundus, that is also an estimate.  It can depend on how big your baby is, how much amniotic fluid you have and other factors. Like I said, these are just estimates tho.  With one of my children my fundal height was 6 weeks further than my EDD.  It was just because I had extra fluid (everything went ok and turned out normal.) Usually the ultrasounds are more accurate. Good luck

Yes they did on Nov. 10th he said May 5th but that would make my LMP July 29 or 30th which is completly wrong.

I'd go by the ultra sound that you had in oct the only problem with them trying to give u a due date now is that it's harder totell now your later on cos your baby might be growing big or growing slow, there less accurate when your farther along, did they not give u an estimated due date on your first midwife appointment?

Go by they ultrasound. Measuring the belly and guessing by 'feeling' are both more inaccurate.

LMP had to have been in July 21-23.. . .Srry left that out.
