foetal defects

I am 18-19 weeks pregnant. In my ultrasound level 2, my baby is having bilateral choroid cysts and echogenic focus on left ventricle. The rest of the body parts are fine and show no defects. My triple test was negative.I have done foetal ECG and its normal. Doctors are telling me that most probably the cyst will disappear by 24 weeks.Though the foetal heart is perfectly normal, is still there is any chance of heart defects due to the echogenic focus. Doctor  thinks that aminocentesis is bit risky. She suggested me to wait till 24 weeks for next Ultrasound.Pls.suggest what should I do?

Hi there, I know nothing about this, but I just googled your terms and found them more common than I realized. In many cases it said that bilateral choroid cysts often regress and disappear of their own accord spontaneously, while an echogenic focus on the heart does not always mean anything is wrong with your baby - it does not definitively point to anything. I do hope everything turns out alright. Perhaps you could get an amniocentesis done? This might help dismiss many of your worries because it can tell for certain if certain things are wrong - such as downs syndrome. Thinking of you, and wishing you and your little one all the best.

Don't really understand all the terms you're using but all I can say is that  I hope all goes well. Try your best to stay calm and not stress. will keep you in my prayers.
