Can I take folic acid combine with prenatal pills at the same time ?

I take an extra folic acid with my prenatal . Unless it's prescribed , prenatals don't have enough folic acid in it. And that was words from my doctor . I do have prescribed prenatals but take an extra because even the prenatals that are prescribed only have 800mg. And when your in the first trimester you need like 1g or something like that. That come from the pharmacy , too. I've been doing this since almost 8 weeks . I'm now 33 weeks . And he's told me to continue doing everything I'm doing

I had seen posts before saying to go ahead and take an extra folic acid. However I was sketchy about it considering how much the prenatals already have in them. When I went to my first apt with my midwife, I showed her the vitamins I had been taking and she recommended I go ahead and add an extra folic acid and said that it couldn't hurt. So I don't believe you can take too much of it (reasonably). But that may be something that you want to wait and discuss with your doctor. Especially if it makes you uncomfortable.

Folic acid is already in prenantals I'm not sure if you could take "too much" of it. I took an extra iron pill on top of my prenantals. I'd talk to your doctor
