for the workin girls

Im 20 yrs old and have been working the same job for almost 5 yrs. Im currently 23 wks pregnant. And when i first told them i was pregnant it was dont do this! Dont lift that! We will shorten your shifts so u dont get tired. Blah blah. Well as u ladies know a pregnant woman is more hormonal than anything. I went in yesterday just stressed and upset about the day before plus my home life right now and i was crying. And the district manager made me go home. I was the shift leader for the day and she came in to do a deposit. Well she made me go home cause ibwas upset even tho i told her that i would be fine just leave me alone. And i just feel like im getting treated like crap cause they know i cant just go get another job right now ..... i live in TN which is a right to work state so they can let me go at anytime. But i feel like they want me to quit. I just have so much blood sweat and tears in that dang place and i really really need the money. Anyone else feel thia way in their jobs? Sorry so lengthy

I live in the UK and I have a pig of a boss. I've done the same stressful job for 6yrs and he is your typical male arrogant pig headed 56yr old man! But....since I became pregnant he has been a complete sweet heart!

When he comes to our site he buys me a cup of tea, sits down with me asks how we are , how daddy is and if the sites ok....he's even sorted out my maternity cover for me and given me a bonus.

Yes it frustrates and confuses me big time, I kinda miss his horrible attitude lol. As long as they take your unborn baby and your health into consideration enjoy it while you can......when / if you return it will go back to how it was before you had your baby XD
(hugs) xx

I managed a Dairy Queen for four years before going into home health care. They have to be cautious about what you can and can't do for the simple fact its a liability on their part. If you feel you can work those extra hours have a talk with your mgmt and explain how you feel. I'm saying this from an employer stand point. If you don't speak up they will never know how your feeling. Good luck.

To be honest my dear, your boss sounds very accomodating and sweet. Even if you don't agree with them they are trying to help you out by taking all of your emotions into account. If it really bugs you then you should have a sit down meeting with them and explain your thoughts. But you sound pretty blessed compared to some of the stories I've seen on here about employers being jerks.
