Today my best friend found out she was pregnant but then started what she thought was her period ? Really concerned and confused

Women can bleed during pregnancy. If she has learned of her pregnancy by a positive test, it wouldn't be implantation bleeding, the baby has to be a couple of weeks after implantation for the test to be positive. However, there is the possibility of a chemical pregnancy, which is another name for a very early miscarriage, right as the pregnancy even begins.
