I had an epidural. They numbed the area first the only thing I could feel when they were putting the catheter in was like a pulling sensation type feeling didn't hurt. Not even the numbing needle hurt it just felt like a pinch. But trust me your gonna want that epidural if you're getting induced. I got induced and it ***** *** I felt grear after getting the epidural

I just had my baby 6 days ago. The guy who did mine numbed the area he was doing the epidural in before he did the epidural. It wasn't bad. I strongly suggest to get it. And don't worry the chances of it paralyzing you is way low.I loved the epidural Especially because I ended up getting an emergency c section and they just used the same epidural line to totally numb me.

ive had 3 epidurals and all of my experiences with them were great no side effects and it really helps ease the pain a whole lot. you will do fine honey. hoping and praying you have a safe delivery.

As long as you don't move when they do it you will be fine . It can be hard due to contractions but the majority of people that say they have had back pain is because they moved when the needle is being put in.
