most people around here do it about 6 weeks before due date just in case you have and early arriver
i want to say thanks to everyone who voiced their option it was really appriciated thanks for the advice
I'm having mine in feb when ill be 29 weeks because i want to have everything done while i still feel like doing it lol i don't wanna be too big and tired to put her room together :)
it all depends... i had one in dec (2months before baby) but only because i had to travel for it and wouldnt have been able to do it afterwards... and im having the other one on the 22 this month and thats only 2 weeks before baby is born... so i guess it all depends...
I had my baby shower when I was 32 weeks along. It was perfect because I wasn't too big and exhausted...it was a perfect time for me. I knew we were having a boy too so it was great!
Usually I hear about a month before you are due. I had mine at 2 wks before and it was fine. Whatever works best for you and fits in your schedule.
For me, the perfect time is around 28-30 weeks. You are big enough that it is obvious that you are pregnant (for most women anyway) yet you are still comfortable to move about.
With both of my previous pregnancies, I was put on bed rest at 32 weeks. So, with my first one we had to reschedule my shower until after my son was born. We learned out lesson with my daughter and had it earlier. :0)
I think 1-2 months before hand is good. People want to see you big and plump, but the further you go along, the more tired (and miserable) you may become. This party is about baby and you, so you want to be in good spirits and able to entertain your guests. Since I have to travel for one of my showers, I am doing that one nearly 3 months ahead of time. I have no desire to sit on an airplane at 8 or 9 months preggo!
i agree with clysta, i think i would have mine a month before baby arrives x
Honestly there is no best time. It's personal preference really. I had mine a month before I had my daughter. (it was a joint shower with my sister as well) Most do it further into their pregnancy or right before they deliver and some do it early so they can get everything unpacked and set up.
