grants for mothers on maternity leave?

so i have a question i am 31 weeks pregnant and on bed rest till after my baby is born. im a single mother of a 3 year old lil girl i worked full time up until last week when my doctor put me on bed rest. i have no other income other then my work. im not able to get short term disiblity since i didn't sign up for it when i started my job. im wondering of there is a government grant for single mothers or mothers on maternity leave? i go through dhs for food stamps and i have wic. my specialest at dhs says im able to get cash assistants but its not enough to pay for all my bills and support my daughter and my self. im in desperate need of ideas that can help me please any kind of advice will b great

The government has rent assistance and bill assistance. A girl I work with had both when she was pregnant. Got off of it when she was back on her feet

no i have fmla  thro my work.but because i work for a big company they allow u to sign up for short term disiblity with in your first 90 days of working...and because i was told after i had y first daughter that i couldn't have anymore kids so i didn't sign up for it. and then i found out i was pregnant and it was to late to get the short term disiblity. and now im on bed rest till after my baby is born and i have no other income.

Idk if my case is irrelevant to yours but I got fired in August and was in unemployment. But  they canceled it because i'm almost due they told me to able for disability that I will most likely get it. So last week I printed the papers out and got it sign by my doctor saying I could not work etc.
You mention since you didn't sign up foot it at your job are you talking about maternity leave instead of disability?
