thanks, again, so much! wow, what an amazing cat!
Hi there, to be 100% truthful if it hadn't been fom my cat i would never od known there was a problem..She was very old and never moved frominfront of my fire she was going crazy in my sitting room (much like that of a young Kitten).. So i owed alot to my cat....
But two year's later my little Girl is not so little and very much into everything....
I have looked at a few crib's that look just like shrunk cot's it's the best way to describe them, they have bar's round side's and end's allowing the air to flow....
Your more than welcome...I would rather share what could of been the most tragic day to maybe help prevent it happening to someone else....
Good luck and enjoy what time of peace you have left it really does change xxxxx
i just changed my registry...i was really on edge about the basket anyway because i don't know anyone that has tried it and can't find reviews. so, i registered for a small, airy cradle. thank you so much for sharing your experience....i really appreciate it!
oh my goodness! thank you soooooo much! i think i will check out some other options just in case... i want her right beside my bed and need something kind of narrow to fit beside my bed. i registered for the basket and stand that goes with it... i will definitely look into other options...
i am so glad that you were able to catch your daughter in time. how scary!!
I used one with my second daughter but i will NOT use one for the baby im pregnant with....I will be using a Cot with the feet to foot position and a special rap blanket, My reason for not using my Moses Basket is the first and only time My lillte girl was in her's she stoped breathing..... when she was addmitted to hospital the Consultant's said they believed this was the onset of sudden death syndrome.. they believed that due to there not being a flow off air around her head due to the tite weave along with cover's...
This is not written to scare but please be aware if you chose to use a moses basket i would recomend the angel care baby monitor or one simaler that way you'll be reasured.
Good Luck
xxxx
you poor thing! this is my first baby. i hope she's a great sleeper! i bought the book "happiest baby on the block" and it's been amazing so far! keep in mind, i have no baby to practice on but i have really learned a lot from this book. refresh my memory, are you pregnant with number 6??
I haven't. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what it is. But I have had 5 kids and NEVER gotten a good sleeper. I am so sleep deprived for months after having a baby. That's probably the worst part for me. So, if there was something out there that would help that process, I'd do anything!!! LOL!
thank you much! and i agree...i see them everywhere, but have yet to meet someone who has tried them :-(
I used a bassinet with my 2 boys which they didnt like at all unless it was tighly secured with blankets and slightly raised. I had my children in my room until about 4 months of age, then I would switch them to the crib, this baby will sleep in his crib from day 1, we have a large enough master bedroom where we can put it in there along with his changing table. My boys never even remembered sleeping in the room with me, so I dont have that problem.
i don't know anyone who has used them, but i see them practically everywhere.....i'm not using those options, my mom found the type of co-sleeper that attaches to the bed, so even though he's close enough for comfort and feeding, he's not "in" the bed enough to grow an attachment of fear of sleeping alone....also, DF and i feel kind of the same way, to just use the co-sleeper for the 1st month or so, then move him to his own room.....not that all children are like this, but DD never used her crib except when chris was home for leave, her mom always had her in the bed with her(and no she didnt BF at all), and even now at 7 years old, DD prefers to sleep with someone rather than alone.....in fact, her and her mom have bunk beds, and even when they had their own place, DD still shared a room with her mom.....so we don't really want that issue, and plan to prevent it early on.....i know it may sound cold to some, but i def agree.....all 4 of us kids were in our own room before 3 months old.....except my sister, but that's b/c we had a 2 br, and me and my mom both had king beds, and with my room so much smaller, her crib wouldnt go in my room....(of course, when sister was 9 months old, we moved into a 4 br 2 sty home!)
