Thank you^^ and I agree with that. Footed pajamas are the best for keeping the baby warm without using a blanket.
I was about to comment the same thing as other poster. They don't know what causes SIDS and its not the same as suffocating! Anyways... If you put footed PJs on the baby and keep it warm in the house they should not need a blanket when sleeping. They do love to be swaddled tho. If your baby gets cold hands/feet use hand mitts or long sleeve shirts that have built in mitts under the clothes and socks either over the PJs or put them on first before the pjs.
They have blankets called receiving blankets though, and I think those are perfect for swaddling the baby when it's still little.
Thanks ftm and im 20 so just need it some help thanks
SIDS and suffocation are two completely different things. A blanket could suffocate a baby, but cannot cause SIDS!!!! Please better educate yourself on that matter. My first daughter passed away from SIDS, and a blanket was nowhere near her.
The hospital will give you a blanket or two that work just as good as swaddlers. Swaddlers are awesome though. Oh and the hospital will teach you how to swaddle the correct way if you don't know how.
Walmart, target, babies r us... anywhere. I used a regular blanket though.
We're can I get a swaddle blanket
I was always frightened to put a blanket on my newborn because it could suffocate. I ended up buying "SwaddleMe" swaddle blankets. They were my best friend. Lol.
Don't put a blanket in the crib or bassinet. You can swaddle the baby but don't put one on them. They can suffocate. Look up sids. It will give you more info if you want.
A thin one meant for swaddling.
