Well.. Im 15 weeks pregnant.. i have a headcold and i dont know what to do. Ive read a bunch of stuff online. But one site would contadict what the other says. I called my hosbital last night to tak to a nurse but they said that they were too busy amd would give me a call back and never did. So last night while i was trying to sleep, my throat started itching and stinging. Im not quite sure how to go about this.

I just started a cold too, my throat aches this morning & woke me up thru the night :-( I love Vicks vapour rub on my chest to help congestion but again, I was wondering if it was safe as well.

You can use coughdrops and chloroseptic throat spray. Lots of tea (be careful of the kind, not all is safe during pregnancy but I use peppermint tea) with honey, orange juice, chicken soup...all of grandma's remedies. A humidifier might help you sleep at night. If it's just a cold you can probably just wait it out; however, if it gets worse you might need to see a doctor. Had a really bad upper respiratory tract infection at about 10 weeks that they were worried was going to turn into pneumonia, so was prescribed some antibiotics. Hope you feel better; pregnancy sickness is not fun.
