heart beat

I'm 11 weeks and everyone thinks I'm having a girl because my husband has all of the symptoms and I have nothing. We went and heard the heart beat today and it's 160. There's an old wise tail about the heart beat but is anyone having a boy who's heart beat is 160?

The heart beat high or low doesn't predict what you will be having! I was 170 1st app then 150 2nd app and having a boy, my sister was in the 156 with her boy and her daughter so it really just depends if your baby has a boy or girl part.

The hospital completely ruined that old wives tale for me. I was in for 2wks and they monitored baby every 4hrs and every time its baseline heartbeat changed based on what it was doing or what I'd just done eg sleeping, moving, if I'd just eaten something sweet or drank something cold. But everytime it was in the norm of 130-160.

It really doesn't matter what I have as long as it's healthy but I want a boy lol. My husband on the other hand is praying hard for a little girl! And the doc said I won't find out until maybe February what I'm having
