heat pad

41w 3days and wondering if useing a heat pad on my back on low temp is okay? Back labor is hurting real bad

I was told  to not leave it on for more than an hour, keep it on low like you said and drink cold water, it works for me :)

Hi there.  Gosh, you are almost there/done!!  I bet you are super excited and ready to get this over with.  Now, I just looked this up yesterday.  Most ob's say that a low setting heating pad is fine based on a broad internet search I had done and the majority of posters on another thread.  The best thing is to always ask your own doctor but in my opinion, based on what I've read, yes, that should be fine.  Hope all goes well with your delivery!!
