I gave birth to my baby girl Thursday afternoon and people are making a big deal about me being up walking around. Am I not supposed to?

I'd ask your doctor, as we don't know your circumstances (stitches, csec, blood loss) etc

I had a c  section with my first child and the next day they had me up and walking if you stay in bed it could cause blood clots in your legs from not moving around specially if you had an epidural

Unless your doctor ordered bedrest,  yes,  you should be up and walking around!  You don't want to over do it or carry heavy things - nothing heavier than your baby - but yes,  unless told otherwise by medical personnel walk around!
