LOL I think maybe my brain is functioning on a simpler level ...which isn't exactly a good thing ;)

Becuase they count your pregnancy from the 1st day of your last period. So you would start counting on April 20th which was 4 weeks ago today. Becuase every womans cycle varies as to when they ovulate it's easier to have a standard practice of counting from day 1 of the cycle that you conceived during. Technically you would have conceived approximately 2 weeks ago, but for purposes of dating the pregnancy and calculating the due date you are 4 weeks pregnant. I hope I didn't confuse you even more.
They date your pregnancy from the first day of your last menstrual period. so it's been 4wks since April 20th...which means that they consider your pregnancy to be 4wks along. You only CONCEIVED 2wks ago (give or take) but they can't predict exact conception dates even with ultrasound, so doctors base it on your last menstrual period.
