Couldn't get my membranes stripped????

So I'm 40+2 and went to the doctors today and he couldn't strip my membranes.. He tried and he said babys head is really low, but he couldn't reach the opening of my cervix to do it. Has anybody else had this?? he also couldn't tell if I was dilated because of this. I'm extremely disappointed because I wanted to at least try the stripping of the membranes to get this baby coming! I have a ton of pressure which explains why babys head is so low but does my doctor just have short fingers or what? I see my original doctor who is back from holidays next week so maybe she can try! Sorry so long just disappointed and wanna meet my baby !

Yes on Monday! Then after that I will be seeing my original doctor and maybe she will have better luck :)

He said it was posterior still but low, hopefully at my next appointment I can get one done

did they say if your cervix was still quite posterior (ie still quite high and tilted rather than lowered and forward which is when they can do the sweeps)?     My first sweep, the midwife just managed to do it and I was 1cm but she said it was still quite high up and not fully forward yet, that was at 39+6, so she just managed to do the sweep and no more.   My next one was at 40+5 and it was still slightly posterior and not as low as it should be, then at my next two it was in the right position x

Your cervix gets lower as birth is more imminent... Maybe at your next appointment if baby doesn't come by then!

At mg last check up at 38 weeks my midwife said my baby's head was so low and my cervix was behind her head so she could.t really check for.dialation ether which was kinda sad lol she could tell the efdecement had gone from 50%-70% but couldn't check for dialation.

He didn't stop because it hurt, I was a little uncomfortable but I was willing to suck it up, he just said he couldn't reach but he can try again on Monday

yes actually they couldnt do that for me either because it hurt to much my daughter was very low, but you should still be ok,
