Both pamphlets say speak to your dr about risks and benefits of using while pregnant. She says they are safe to take and now that im further along o guess i should just relax.
Diflucan is what I was given for my uti while pregnant
i had to have countless antibiotics thru my pregnancy for utis.. i cant remeber which ones but i never had any probs with them.. look on leaflet to see of its safe for use in pregnancy x
I know i need to.treat it.but i forgot to.mention ive been cramping. I informed my dr and she said its normal... Im overly paranoid i suppose, but thank you all it eases my mind a bit. My aunt did.some.research and said azo urinary tract pills are safe to.take throughout pregnancy so i can avoid another infection. I will of course speak with my dr before taking anythin. I just dont want it to come back so i guess now the question is safe prevention while im pregnant still? I must be prone for.uti.and bv because ive had many in my 21 years.
I've also been worried about antibiotics. I had a really bad cough from a respiratory infection very early in my pregnancy. I was on amoxicillan for a week, but my cough never fully went away. And now it's getting worse again. Just talk to your doctor, let them know you are worried, and see what they say. You do need to get treated, but I know you are scared.
There are lots of different types of antibiotics and while some of them are harmful during pregnancy there are some which are completely safe. If you are worried about the type you have been given then ask a doctor or pharmacist. Some do have warnings as they are only safe during certain times in pregnancy.
At 15 weeks antibiotics won't harm your baby, don't worry hun. UTIs and BV will cause issues later in your pregnancy if they aren't treated.
Talk your worries with your doc! Uti infections are very persistent so really do need antibiotics. There are safe antibiotics. The stuff you read can't be blamed on antibiotics alot of factors cab result in defects.
