If your contractions are consistant like a minute long and 5 minutes apart. My memory isn't all that great but I'm pretty sure that's the length of it. It could also be braxton hicks which are just practice contractions depending on how far along you are.

How far along are you but my dr gave me a paper n it says to go in when there 5 mins apart lasting 1 minute long... or if my water breaks.... goodluck
