inducing my labor at my own benefit :o?

so im a ftm.,and im.due in eight days
as far as my doctor told me i will.most likely be overdue. i am interested in being induced on my due date just because its already bad enough my bf lives about half an hour away and he goes back to college from winter vaca the day after my due date...on top of that he also works...which makes me nervous cause he is so far im afraid he will miss our daughters delivery due to him being at school//work and trying to get here without hitting traffic((and take an hour))


so would it be evil of me to plan to be induced on my due date .,that way we both are there and ready to get it over with ?

My doctor told me that they are open to inducing, because it's scheduled and they aren't waiting for u to go into labor spontaneously. Unless of course it happens before you get induced. Doctors are impatient.

I asked to be induced at 38 weeks. My doctor Induced me at 39+2 and had my baby that day. It doesn't hurt to ask. He probably will anytime after 39 weeks.

Just because you want to be induced on your due date doesn't always mean you will have the baby that day. I was induce and took THREE IN A HALF DAYS!!!! It was hell but sooo worth it. Try for a couple days before to be safe. Congrats, Goodluck, and safe delivery!!
