I had a C section as last resort.. it was awesome, i had no pain... ever, recover was great and i was up moving around no problem... i actually had to go between floors each time to nurse my daughter as she was in the NICU as she breathed in meconium... i reccomend getting some good waterless shampoo as you cant shower for a few days, pack lots if comfy clothes, those disposable mesh undies that the hospital have are awesome! i plan on buying some to take(they dont rub on the incision) anything to make yourself feel freshend up... dont feel you should pack light as you have to be there for a few days so pack pack what you want(remember your own pillows as comfort is key!!)... i never expected a c section so i didnt pack for one... i do plan on having another csection again and im packing anything i think will make me more comfortable!

After the c section there are limits to what your allowed to do as its surgery... you really do have to talk it over with your Dr for when your allowed to do anything but this is what i did... no stairs for a week... even after limit them, dont drive for 2 weeks(im very rural and drive an automatic), no sex till after your Drs apporval (at teh 6 weeks check up) no lifting more than 10 lbs(i think and i think thats the whole 6 weeks) so for the baby as its in the summer i just left the car seat in and took her out so it wasnt over my limit (i reccomend having car seat on drivers side (not the middle) so its easier on you... arrange for someone to help with the housework to help you out... i know im missing more... and im sure ill think about them after i go to bed...

Oh and on another note i had a catheter and an IV so if you can convince them to take them out ASAP i would... but that takes some convincing depending on the nurse... my nurse was old school and drove me crazy! lol

I did c-sec for my still birth at 21week last Jan 15... at 1st i quite worry as i used to hear many unpleasant story about it.. but been thru it myself now i can say its not so bad the way i thought..

I recover very fast too, i can move easily as well.. i not sure if full term preggo and 21week makes any different but i think there is nothing its still c-sec.. over all its just the $ matter.. In Malaysia price are double if we choose c-sec instead of natural birth.. i not sure other country..

Just for adding.. taking bath.. wash your hair.. dried it off.. brush your tooth.. bottom line clear up bcos my doctor not allowed me move for the 1st 24hour after the c-sec.. so u for sure want to feel clean to hold your baby after that... :)

Good luck hun.... hugsss..

I will have my 3rd c-section on May 3rd and my first was a bad experience because my  epidural wore off right as they started the surgery (but don't worry that won't happen with a planned c-section mine was an emergency one and the nurses had turned it off before they had me stop pushing hours before) but with my second they used the spinal and I didn't feel anything at all it was a great experience and the recovery was very fast and easy. Good luck and try not to worry too much everything will be fine.

I have had two c-sections and will have another. Its funny BC Im actually scared to have one naturally...haha. All in all, I dont mind them, however, I will tell you that if you wear something very tight like a pair of spanx, or a post body girdle afterwards, then ot helped me, personally to get my stomach muscles back quite fast. Also, I was in my ptepregnancy

I have the option of either births and this is my choice. All you will feel is tugging. I feel very st rase knowing i can be prepared for this birth hubby works awayso he can be here and can organise my childcare for my 3 year old.

I'm having my third c section. Even though I'm put to sleep for the surgery it still isn't bad. The worst part is waiting for the surgery. The anticipation for it to be over and all the 'what ifs' can drive most women bonkers.

I'll have my fourth c-section in July..I've had good experiences bc all were planned..I have a great support system of fam n friends that help a lot during recovery too!! The only pain will be after your spinal/epidural wears off, but even then my pain was never bad!! More like an ache really..you will sense tugging during  the surgery, but no pain! It's not near as bad as some make if out to be!

This will be my 4th cesarean. They aren't bad, I recover pretty quick. The surgery itself is a breeze.  Only problem is I can't have any more babies,  my ob said 4 csections is about all you can have safely.  I know this doesn't have anything to do with your question but I always say don't elect to have a csection over a vaginal birth if you want a big family.  I was quite disappointed when I was told I couldn't have anymore safely.

I didn't feel pain, just a lot of tugging and pulling like they were kinda rocking me around a bit lol.  When my allergic reaction hit thats when I felt pain lol (remember that's not normal, I guess I'm just a freak haha)

I had a  c section with my first kid, but I had an unusual experience.  I was allergic to the spinal block so I had bunches of complications (mind you that is NOT in any way the norm).  All my other family members that ended up having a section had no problems, recovered quickly, and actually prefer it!
