How much do you have to be dialated before you're admitted into the hospital?
My friends daughter was dilated to a 5 before she went into full blown labor.

Yep she's right its not about dialating its the contractions i was dialated to a 4 1/2 for 4 weeks before i actually went into labor and had steady contractions i was always told that once your contractions get to 5 minutes apart and are consistent then its time to head in
I dont think its about dialating necessarily, but your contractions tgst matter, if your having regular close contractions they are going to admit you, at least thats been my case, I think the smallest I was dialated was barely 3 when I went in. I always called my doctor first though.
