hospital tour?

How many of yall did a hospital tour? How do I go about doing it? And do I have to tell them when I'm having my baby so they know of does my doctor already have all that taken care of? Because I went to the ER the other night and they already knew my doctor and called her to see what she recommend they did for me. So any help would be amazing!

All i did was call my hospital, ask about the labor/birthing tour and they transferred me over to the person that schedules. They wont know anything so they will ask...
Due date, who is your ob, who will be your one guest you want to bring along on tour, and a few other questions:) good luck!

Just go online and get the number for the maternity ward then call and ask about the tour. They will tell you the next day they have a tour.

I went to one at 20 weeks it was really helpful for me since I have an entire birth plan I wanted to make sure that they would accommodate my wishes.

The dr will oversee all of your prenatal care but that does not necessarily mean the hospital has all of your info so it is good to pre-register and tell them your due date. They'll give you info then and tell you when you can do the hospital tour. I did it my first baby and it was really helpful to know who to call, where to park, what they supply, where the nicu is incase, how many visitors and visitor hours etc.
