FTM's.....do u feel like u have way too much baby stuff for ur new baby???

Im a ftm and im having a baby girl in less than two weeks. I have decorated her room and everything is ready and in place. Sometimes I feel like I too much baby stuff and that I wont use it all and it will be wasted. I have two stepsons and im not sure if we will have another baby.

Ive tried to keep it practical and just registered for and recieved like one swing/bouncer (called the mamaroo) and a travel system and pack n play (instead of a bassinet and pack n play). I just wanna get use out of everything and not let it go to waste. I feel like u see all these cute little things (especially for baby girls) and u go crazy wanting it all. Anyone feeling this way too.....especially when u probably didnt buy the majority of stuff for the baby????

My mom went crazy and bought wayyy to many baby clothes.. i dont think my lil girl will even get a chance to wear all of it.. so dont be worried theres always a use for it.. even if you save the clothes or resell them at a consignment shop after the grow out of them..

I know its very hard not buy stuff for baby.. especially if its ur first.. whatever we bought now will be used for our second child... so we made sure we buy things which are long lasting and will used atleast upto 4 yrs of age...  our house is only one bed room so obviously his nursery will be small section of our bedroom.. but we r hoping to get two bed room house with in atleast this yr but it all depends on our luck...
i only bought cot+mattress+beddings, travel set(carseat and pram), 3 in 1 bouncer , swinger and infant chair... i m hoping to buy playmat or play gym soon...
believe it or not i have only bought few pair of clothes for him.. about 1 sleep suit + outfit new born and about 4-5 sleepsuits 0-3 and 1 out fit 0-3.. his toiletries and 1 shawl and  1 blanket.. about 2 towels, nappies and wipes..
i m only going to buy essentials now such as bath tub and some fitted sheets etc... i m not worried about clothings as my family will be buying loads of them.. and i m hoping that they dont get me big stuff because i am having so much trouble utilizing small place i m trying to transfer as his nursery.. but once i hve bigger house i think things which i ll get will start to look less :)

I feel like I have more than enough for my baby but keep getting reminded by second time mommy's of things that I need lol. But one of my friends who has 4 kids told me that as long as baby has clothes on her back, blankets to keep warm, a place to sleep, a clean butt and a way to eat and love your newborn will be fine!!

Yeah I agree that it is always better to have too much rather than not enough.

If you have too much, it always good for donating. I am a ftm and I do not have friends or family to give me things like that. So, I will be going to donations to get some things like a stroller. Some are not as fortunate as others and basically have to spend every extra penny on baby stuff. Hopefully, you consider donating stuff after baby is grown out of certain things.

I was lucky I realy didn't have to buy anything for our son! Everything was given to us! I did buy his car seat and stoller! But that's it! I didn't even have a baby shower cause my best friend that was ginna do it got lukemia and is in the middle of a bone marrow transplant! I know we have to much stuff and will never use it all! But its better to have to much then not enough!
