I think it's when you get into about the third  tri and your baby moves into position and you'll feel that pain and pressure in your vagina every time you move lol to be honest I never know where my baby was positioned, I can't tell the difference between his butt and his head, arms or legs...my doc told me at an appointment he's head down and then today had me feel it with my hands where his head was, and it was down there, any lower and he'd be popping out lol

I guess I'll just have to see.

My midwife told me that my baby wouldn't really drop just that he might get into better position,  I have no idea what that means. I asked her since I'm 38 weeks and it doesn't look like he is going any lower but she said his head is in my pelvic bone. So I'm basically as lost as you.

I see a lot on people talking about it here and other places and I didn't know if you feel the baby drop or if the doctor tells you lol.

I believe mine has dropped, probably around the time I went into preterm labor, I could feel my contractions pulsating downwards as if pushing the baby down...they stopped them eventually, his heads way down there but I don't give off the appearance of having dropped, I feel the pressure but my coworkers say I haven't dropped...I'm in the same boat, I don't get what qualifies, the appearance of a low belly? Because  he's about as low as he's gonna get until I go into labor.
