Experienced mom's, 101 degree fever.

My 18month old temperature has been 101° since 5pm yesterday. He has no other symptoms, just loss of appetite, I don't know what to do! He just wants to lay around. I have him in just his diaper and I'm giving him fever reducer every 4/5hrs and it still hasn't gone down. Help, anybody!?

He just had a fever last week or two and the doctor prescribed him allergy medicine?? AAnd everyone is saying they won't do anything for less than 102° . What else would the doctor be able to do? Any thing I can do at home in the mean time to bring it down?

If it hasn't gone down you should really take him in a fever is sign of infection maybe he needs antibiotics if he is dehydrated from not eating our drinking they will give him iv fluid also.
