Fundal height is being used less and less in many practices because of inconsistencies like what you just posted. The baby's position, your uterus' position and other factors (such as your own girth) can affect the measurement. It is especially inaccurate as you get closer to the 3rd trimester.
I wouldn't pay any attention at all to it whatsoever! Your little one is active, right? And great heartbeat? Then that's all you need to know and worry about. ;-)
I cannot believe you're almost in the 3rd trimester!
I remember I ws behing a bit for a visit or two then I jumped to being ahead. I dont think you have to worry too much but as always if you are oncerned its worth a call to ease your mind
I was always measuring 2 weeks ahead at all my appointments. My OB said that as long as the measurement is within 3 cm earlier or later, then everything is good.
Completely normal and nothing to worry about. A lot of doctors dont measure fundal height anymore because it is not particularly accurate. It was done more routinely when more evolved technology wasnt available and stems from that.
I measured right on what I was supposed to at every appointment with both of my pregnancies - until week 38 when I measured 38 cms. and stayed there with no change until week 41 when I had both of my sons. My OB indicated that this wasn't anything to be concerned about....although in both cases he sent me for a biophysical profile u/s when I was a week overdue just to make sure everything was ok - standard procedure.
At 37 weeks when he gave me my papers to carry around with me around bring back to each appointment - or to the hospital if I went into labour in the meantime - I noticed that there were a couple of appointments later on in my pregnancies where I was measuring either a week behind or a week ahead of where I was in the pregnancy....and I was never told this was something to be concerned about. Both of my sons were born perfectly healthy.
If you're worried, you should ask about it....but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about, personally.
No, ur baby goes through growth spurts and u will notice in a few more weeks it will b normal again
