We are giving it a go for the 3rd time, and have questions :-)

We are now trying for our third child...we haven't been preventing for the past two years but haven't ended up pregnant. I think and hope that I'm pretty aware of my cycle and that's why we haven't gotten pregnant before now.  It took us a year and tests and a surgery for DH to get pregnant with our oldest  It didn't take us very long to get pregnant the second time, maybe 3 months but it ended with an emergancy surgery due to and ectopic pregnancy.  I now only have one tube.  We were able to get pregnant very easily with our second daughter about three months after the ectopic...

So we are trying for our third and have a few quesitons...Have any of you used ovulation tests?  I'm using a clearblue easy digital test and not sure how I like it. I've waisted a couple of the sticks because the test is a little tempermental, has anyone else had any problems with it.

Also is there anyone out there with only one tube, but 2 ovaries?  When they did the surgery for the ectopic they only took out my right tube but left in the right ovary. The OB said that I can still ovulate every month, but I'm not sure I believe this, lol.  My cylcles are way off, kinda...

One month I will have a 30-32 day cycle...seems normal AF last for about 5 days. Then the next month will be around 42 days and AF will be about a week and a half sometimes 2.  Then I'll go back to the 30 day cycle the next month then the 42 the next month and so on.

I am thinking I ovulate during the 30 day cycle and am not during the 42 day cylce...any opinions on this one.

I know you guys aren't Dr.s I'm just looking for other womens opinions, thanks!

I used the ovulation predictor kits I used the one from Walgreens that has 20 sticks in it. It's a pink box with a picture of a baby on the front. I think it's called answers or something like that. Also used pre seed personal lubricant which my OB suggested.

hi i no a few people with only one tub cos of simmiler surcumstaces im activly trying my self but i no of 2 friend who got pregnant with one tub but took them nearly a year of trying so dont give up. one thing ive learnt is you have to keep a diary of your menstral cycle and and the main thing is getting in tune with your body once youv done that the rest is nature. and as for the clear blue overlation test if its second hand it tends to still read the person before overlation days. if its new and not faulty then apparently there one of the best on the market. keep track of your overlation day write it down. if i was you thow each month regardless if say nxt month is longer or shorter start testing from the shortest point of your period from about 10/12 days from the start of period till you get your smilly face and its between 12/24 hours later the egg is released but make sure you have sex several days before and after especialy on the day of your smilly face if your partners fine then every day if he has a low sperm count then every other day. but a specialist told me the best time to have intercourse is in the morning cos the sperm is more active and livley on your peak days put a pillow underneath you and stay there for as long as you can to help gravity...me personly i use thows cheap overlation and 10 ml pregnancy test you can buy on line they work great and with the pregnancy test you can start testing from 8 days past overlation the test stay the same darkness or simmiler for it to be positive but i find its normaly slightly lighter but it works and as for thows cheapie pregnancy test they do work cos my sister tried one and it was a possitive straight away thats how she found out she was pregnant. one more thing which is great to no if you dont produce a lot of egg white discharge in your overlation period then thats another good reason for not getting pregnant then only use [preeseed] its great and its the only one that helps and not kill the little spermies as surliva and ky jelly and other lubricant [kill] sperm... and douching interfers with you own body balane chemicals.. i hope that helps any more questions dont hesitate to ask im only glad i could help and good luck.
