Boy or Girl

I was wondering which method you ladies out there used to conceive and whether you got a boy or girl. We have 2 girls and would like to try for a boy.  We know about the shettles method but can't seem to "refrain from sex" for the suggested 4 days lol. So I am curious to know if any other method yields boys The questions below only pertain to your fertile window, not the entire month

*Out of five pregnancies I've had two miscarriages. But for the two that were carried to term the last four pregnancies were girls! Just wanted to clarify.

And I just looked up the whole acidic thing and apparently it is true. More acid means higher chance of girls as the Y sperm are very fragile and cannot withstand highly acidic vagina. WOW! I just told my husband that. I found a goofy blog that is called howtoconceiveaboy on blogspot and we may try some of the suggestions next time we want to have a baby but whatever we have is whatever we have!

Ooh I see! Well then I have no idea. We weren't really trying for a specific gender. The first pregnancy was a total shock and surprise. I was 19, didn't chart, knew nothing about my cycles, etc.

With my second through fifth pregnancies I knew when I ovulated and we had sex while I was ovulating. We've got all girls!

I have PCOS so maybe that explains why I have all girls. I wonder if I could do something to tame the acid. I mean I want whatever God gives us but if I can at least make the odds more favorable for a son (which DH wants so badly) then I don't see the harm in it.

We weren't trying the first time - had a boy.

This last time, we BDed every other day just before, after and during ovulation and have another boy :-)

the Shettles method is a timing method for sex to attempt to influence the outcome of the gender of your baby.  For a girl you have intercourse for the several days before ovulation and then stop 3 days before ovulation.  For a boy you time it as close to Ovulation as possible.  However, I recently found out that women with pcos (which I have) tend to have more girls because their bodies are naturally more acidic

My hubby eats breakfast everyday and I'm having a girl.

interesting - my grandfather eats breakfast daily bacon eggs the whole 9 yards. They have 6 children 1 girl and 5 boys so that supports the study as well

I heard on the news a while ago thatthe U of M did a study and men who ate breakfast everyday were more likely to produce males than females.. for me it falls true because DH isn't a breakfast eater usually and i have two girls so far.

I didn't exactly use a method. We weren't aiming to have a baby, but we weren't actively trying to prevent it either. I just got what I was meant to have.

i was doing it everyday and got a girl, we used to do it on average 2- 4 times a day, actually the day before ovulation 2 times, the day of ovulation 5 times and the day after ovulation 2 times.

I am having a boy and can't tell you much, we BD around new years, I will tell you though that my BF and I wee partially under the influence...lol....it was around the holidays and we had a few to drink. Maybe thats the key....having a glass of wine!

We never used a "method" we just dtd when the mood struck and hit the jackpot several times.  We have 3 girls and (would be) 3 boys.

I should have added that I don't remember for our first because we weren't trying for our second we BD every day

well I can't really vote because with my daughter we BDed every day and got a girl...and this time we BDed every day and we're having a boy...so..both?

Maybe you could look on the chinese calander and see what it says you would have if you conceived in certain months? It said I was having girls with my first two and I did! This time, it says I am having a boy...we will see:)  I know it's not an accuate way but...nothing is really:)
