I was going to say going by the fact that she had a period in between having sex with you and her new partner it's very unlikely you are the father. Also, you had sex just a few days before she got her period - meaning that she had already ovulated (which is when you can conceive) so that makes it even less likely.

However, going by dates (you saying she's 21 weeks pregnant) then that would indicate you being the father because she wouldn't be that far along if it were her new partner. If the period she has in between you and the new partner wasn't a true or normal period for her then you could be the father. Really the only way to know if to wait until baby is born and have a DNA test done.

They do at the begining yes, because they go by the last month's period before finding out being pregnant. But as the pregnancy continues you get a dating scan which is most accurate for measuring the age of the baby is giving an estimated due date. Obviously dates can be off by a week or two, which is why I said you need to just have a DNA test done. Without knowing if it was true period in between you and her new partner then it's too hard to tell, you need a DNA test.

I'm not a doctor. Even a doctor wouldn't be able to give you a percentage. You really do need to just wait until a DNA test is done. I know it's hard to wait but really at this point it's all you can do.

Dude i think kitkat1306 has explained you so well. women ovulate according to there AF length. which could be between 21-45 or some have above. they mostly ovulate between CD09-CD28 depending on the length. but in your case first you used PROTECTION second you had sex with her about 5 days before her AF. its a very small chance that she did be pregnant with your baby.

21 weeks is a long time by that time you can actually find out Gender of the baby. first trimester they do count two extra weeks but when women gets her first US they tell her the exact weeks she is in. which means conception date is different. then they give her the due date.

From her last menstrual cycle time i would say on 23/11/2011 which is today she is 21wks now. you have to get checked that whether she is 21 wks showing in her US or LMP.

last you have to wait to get DNA test done. No one can tell you that its your baby unless DNA does. Doctors always count from LMP. you have to be patience.

Also, I noticed you said they calculate by the last day of you last menstrual period, and that's not correct, it's the first day of lmp. For example, my lmp was May 8, and I'm now 28 weeks and 4 days prego. As the others have said, you should ask her if it was a normal period, and then wait as patiently as you can for a DNA test after the baby is born.

If the lmp was 6-30, then they would put her at just about 21 weeks!  This includes the 2 week that she would not really be considered "pregnant". She would have had to conceive around 2 weeks AFTER her period stated!

Honestly, there really is no way to 100% yet.   The best is a DNS test, but honestly I doubt you are the father.....And I should know, I've been pregnant 7 times in my life!   Good luck sweetie

Oh, one other note****  if she had sex with her partner on 7-10, that would have been about 2 weeks past her last period on 6-30. Depending on how long her cycles run and when she ovulates!

You were getting false information here.

LMP: June 30th (meaning the FIRST DAY of her last period).
If she has a normal 28 day cycle the she would have ovulated and conceived on or around July 14th or so (give or take a couple of days) two weeks after the first day of her LMP.
Today Nov 23rd she should be 20 weeks 6 days that is counting from June 30th which was the first day of her LMP.

When they do a dating scan in early pregnancy they still count the two weeks before you actually conceive.  If she had a dating scan in early pregnancy that would also assure you that the baby is NOT YOURS they are much more accurate...again THEY STILL ADD THOSE TWO WEEKS if they do an early dating scan.

First of all i am not an expert. but  i am suppose to be 8 weeks today from LMP but due to various factors i started having early scans. and my scan showed i am in my 6wks on monday. when i asked her why is that she said conception date is different. U/S shows right week of pregnancy :) so in my case they did not count first two weeks and they taking my scans according to U/S report :)

sakasmi, When they date a pregnancy they always add those two weeks...so if your pregnancy is 6 weeks on Monday they you would have conceived 4 weeks prior to that. That's just how they date pregnancies. You can always be off from your LMP if you have longer or shorter cycles, so the first u/s or dating scan is more accurate. But again when they date a pregnancy even by u/s they always add two weeks to the beginning...before you even conceived.

ashleyfife, yes if they say your 20 weeks then you are...some women have regular cycles and those extra two weeks add up to their LMP and some women have longer cycles and it does not add up to their LMP.

With my first pregnancy my cycle's were 34 days so when they dated my pregnancy from my LMP it ended up being a week and a half off I actually wasn't as far along as I had thought. With my second it added up perfectly because my cycle's had regulated to 28 days.

But like I said before they date pregnancies and count the first two weeks before you even conceive.
