You ladies need too stop smoking for your child . cigarettes is all an mental thing. Cut it out its nasty and if you want a healthy baby you will stop with that pack a day
I smoke still. Started at a pack a day when o found out. Now I smoke like 7 a week. I just try cutting back easily. Take it a day at a time. Like say you smoke cuz your bored. Tell yourself your too lazy to get one.you smoke after you eat? Say I'd rather enjoy the taste of my food longer. You smoke when you drive or walk? Leave them behind.
I quit cold turkey as soon as I found out with my first. But unfortunately it means not hanging around people who smoke for like a month or so because it's super hard to do it other wise or you can ask people not to smoke around you because you are quitting they should understand and be respectful to you. But my son will be 6 soon and I still don't smoke =] if you can do it for 9 months you can do it forever.
I quit a month before conceiving. and I smoked a lot over the past 13 years!
Best way I found was to not buy any cigarettes. dont have any, cant smoke any. dont allow yourself to purchase cigarettes, no matter how. replace ur cigarette craving with a piece of chocolate or candy. also, I hit the gym, which helped me get over the habit of smoking. because cigarettes and exercise dont go well together.
I cut down time with friends that smoked and picked up Hobbys like gardening and knitting, then i cut down to every other day then after a week i was done, i replaced smoking with a cup of tea, my favorite is peach ginger, it might sound funny but you can trick your brain into thinking your craving for a cigg us a craving for something else if you make it a habit but you have to be consistent, every time you want a cigg you have to drink a cup of tea then in time you will just crave tea:)
Dang. Sometimes I feel sick when I do. But most of the time I usually smoke at night time. I don't like it during the day. Its weird.
you could see if your doctors office offers classes for pregnant women. mine offers a monthly class on quitting smoking specifically for pregnant people
I cant help with advice. Baby told me she didnt like them and I started getting sick just from the smell when I was 5 weeks. Im now 37 weeks and hate to be around them. But I wish you the best of luck in quitting for both yourself and the baby. :)
