Has anyone had to have one of these on their baby's heart? What does it entail? I'm 21 weeks and scheduled to have one of these next week in my baby's heart.

Yeah they found something abnormal on my 20 week scan too, wasen't on the heart but they measurement they got could be the cause of a heart defect, or other problems, So they want to get a more detailed look at the heart and rule that out first.

Forgot to mention that I had one cause on my 20 weeks scan they saw a white spot on my baby heart..the result of the heart specialist was fine..

Ok thanks ladies! They have me going in for alot of tests in the next few weeks, just praying they find nothing wrong!

I had one when I was 24 weeks nd it's just like a regular scan they check the valves nd listen to the heart beat..

I did with my first. Like the other post sad its an uktrasound of the heart. It takes a while cause they want a lot of pictures to make sure all is okay. Don't stress just relax so tgey can get their pictures. Its easiest if baby is resting and not moving much.

With me, they thought i had a narrowing of my aorta... Which is extremely uncommon but if u have it u must take  antibiotics anytime you have any procedure done (even a teeth cleaning) but with the u/s, they were able to determine its the valves not shutting properly (which is quite common)

No for my baby but for me when i was 17. Its an ultrasound of your hheart to make sure all tthe valves are closing and opening like the should.
