Spotting varies from person to person, pregnancy to pregnancy. If you spot after you ovulate and it doesn't progress to a period, then you should take a hpt.

When I got my bfp, I had implantation spotting that lasted a few days. It started from 5dpo- 9dpo and then it vanished. I had a 12 day luteal phase, so I knew something was up. But the spotting was light brown to light pink in color and very light. It looked like it was mixed with white cm. I tested positive at 10 dpo.

I am 10 weeks pregnant.  I got my first BFP 4 days before AF was due.  I had some light pink spotting the next day and a week after had the same thing.  I also had light cramping.  I did notice that my PMS symptoms were not as bad that month like my boobs are always sore like a week before and this time they were not.  The cramping I was having was not as much as what it usually is either.  I would say it's possible that's what it is.  The only thing you can do is wait.  Good luck and I hope this means BFP for you!!!
