I spoke to someone I have known for a while the other day and he/she said that it was not that he/she thought he/she was cured that was not the reason he/she did not want to take the meds the problem was that sterotypes If someone found out he/she was taking the meds they would treat he/she different. He/she had seen this in other people the stereotypes caused them to be outcast and that hurt them badly emotionally. Also he/she wants to know why that everyone is telling he/she not to ever have kids because he/she would not be allowed to adopt he/she has thought this thru and decided since he/she was only the 1% of the population that gets schizophrenia without inheratence that it may be ok to have children.

schizophrenia has been found to be genetic in some cases. However, it also has links to drugs, environment one has grown up in (aka, abuse) and a few other factors. If you or someone you know has schizophrenia, they need to be on their medicine so that they can function in society. Schizophrenics have a tendency to not want to take their medicine b/c they do not believe they need it. Some even believe that the medicine makes them worse, or takes away a talent they have (such as a gift for art which goes away when on medicine).
Paranoid schizphrenia is a conditon where schizophrenics believe ppl are out to get them, hurt them, etc. It is a delusional disease that NEEDS medication. Whether or not a schizophrenic has a child who ends up developing schizophrenia, the individual will need medication to stabilize.

idk is an abbreviation for i dont know. just some internet lingo.. and the ...... doesnt mean words are left out, some of us just do that out of  habit....i know i do..haha sorry couldnt be much help, but maybe someone else on here has been in a similiar situation. have a good day

If its not censored why are there words left out? I do not understand that.and ....idk does not make any since. Anyways have a good day. I thougt someone would know the answer cause this is one of the web sites where some people who know someone with the problem type to each other for support. question was sam *(Alias) want's kids but wanted to know if this illness is inherited or if scientists have found that it is not cause. So what you are saying since it skips generations everybody could have a biological background of schizophrenia in their family but do not realize it because it happened sooo loong ago. Right! !!!! Anyways your post looks as though it has been censored, Probably a good thing..

not being rude, at all, just saying that i've heard it can be inherited, but it can also jump generations and siblings....idk if i'd not want kids for that......but i'd want them on their meds if i did, so that they didnt hurt anyone......JIC that is....
