I almost died and I'm scared

When I had my first son via c-section, I barely survived due to a retained placenta and a completely infected incision site 6 inches deep that they had to reopen two weeks post op and leave open until it healed months later.  I am scheduled for a repeat c-section next Friday and I'm terrified!!!!!  Not only do I have to have a c-section but all of my internal organs are stuck together and to my abdominal by adhesions that my doctor will be cutting so that my organs don't rip as my uterus shrinks.  Anyone have a bad c-section experience once but a good one the second time?

Ya I switched docs and was able to get into the best gyn/surgeon in our region and he knows everything I've been through.  I'm very confident in him but terrified at the same time lol

Make sure you talk to your doctor about your fears, I'm sure he/she will help some of those. I'll be thinking of you, and hoping it goes well!!

Both of mine were ok. My cut did get infected the 2nd time. Not near as bad as yours. I'm sure everything will go fine.
