im scared!!!

So I went to the doctor today, & even tho my Medicaid is still not in they seen me anyway. Everything looked good so i was very happy to hear that. Then she told me that in two weeks i have to come in and take me Glucose test. I've read about different people experience on getting but my mind is wrapped around the taking blood part. I'm scared that something may happen, im scared as hell of shoots.. How do any of you deal with shoots when you are really really scared of them??

At the beginning of my pregnancy i had 6 viles taken, i ended up fainting while getting drawn, woke up and puked EVERYWHERE and felt horrible after, i refused to get blood drawn again i was so scared, untill my doctor told me i had to get it done before he seen me again, so my boyfriend made me go anyway, and i squeezed his hand and turned my head and it was done before i new it! And my boufriend kept telling me how great i did, scince then ive had alot more blood work done and learned its part of pregnancy and its for the safety for me and baby, you do fine! Just look away!(:

I looked away and tried to think about something else because I can't stand needles or see in the blood leave through it. The had trouble with my vain too so they kept having to move it around. But look away and try to breath and stay relaxed. Afterword I got a hug and kiss from baby daddy cause I didn't cry! Lol

I've had to get shots every week since 20 weeks. Right on my butt. I hate needles, but I have gotten used to it.

I ate a piece of pizza right before i went. I did not get dizzy or faint after words. It took no more than two mins. The worse part was the wait. All that anticipation gets to you. You should be fine, dont stress it !!(:

Just make sure you get somebody good. I have had terrible experiences with needles and nurses. The last time the lady barely hit my vein and then she put the bandage on to tight and it turned my hand purple. Also ask for the butterfly needle, they dont hurt at all, that is if they hit your vein right.

Im super terrified of shots and seeing blood, i get queezey around it lol idk how i am going to go through child birth with out having an anxiety attack lol at my first appointment, they had to fill 8 viles of blood for test, in all honesty i dont even know what for.

I was nervous and freaking out on the inside, i just turned my head and kept asking my man if im almost done yet.

I swear i must of asked 10 times with in a min.

I swear it did not hurt. It is definitely more of a mind thing than pain. (I donated blood my senoir year and passed out, ever since that ive been super scared)

They use baby needles now, you can barrly feel them and it went by pretty fast. Just distract your mind (:

I look away and think of other stuff. Its not that bad I had one done in my first pregnancy just get ur appt for the morning and don't eat after like 9/10 the night before cause u might fail then the shots will get worse cause they take ur blood like 8 times and u have to stay there 3 hours.
