implantation

I need some help. My fertilization was dec 28-1. My husband and I had sex dec 28,30, and the first of january during fertilization. My last period was dec 16th and is always on time. On January 5 i started spotting very little on and off. Now its January 10 and I have heavy bleeding. Can I be implanting with this heavy bleeding or can I be over a week early for my period? What do I do?

Sounds mostly like it's an early period, beginning three weeks and a day after your last one.  I suppose it could be a miscarriage, or maybe your body was reacting to all the steroids in the unprotected sex (semen has a lot), or you got an ovarian cyst from all the bonking (it can bruise the ovaries, causing them to swell and retain fluid in the pore that the egg came out of).  Take an early-results pregnancy test on the 14th or 15th to be sure.

My next due perios is january 16. I am always 30 days apart. I started bleeding on january 7th with light spotting on and off and now its kind of heavy. which that would make me over a week early for my period that im suppose to get on the 16th of january.

Oh, when I asked "was the January 10 bleeding after a period with no bleeding?" I meant after a period of time, not a menstrual period.  In other words, did you go a few days without any bleeding, or did the spotting simply continue?

You said,  "My husband and I had sex dec 28,30, and the first of January during fertilization."  When you say fertilization, do you mean ovulation?  If your last period was December 16, just by the calendar and using a 28-day cycle, you would expect to ovulate on or near December 30.  Did you in fact confirm it with an ovulation predictor kit or have some other reason to think January 1 was the day you ovulated?

You then had some spotting January 5.  It could be irritation to the cervix from the physical activity, or I suppose it could be 'implantation bleeding,' though frankly, a Labor & Delivery nurse once told me implantation bleeding was so rare that it is more myth than reality.

Did you then spot until January 10, or was the January 10 bleeding after a period with no bleeding?  I don't want to burst your bubble, but heavy bleeding is even less likely to be associated with pregnancy than a little light bleeding.

I'm puzzled about how January 10 makes you "over a week early" for your period, unless you have really long cycles.  The average cycle is about 4 weeks long.  If your last period began December 16, then one week later is December 23, one week later is December 30, and one week later is January 6, giving you a three week and four day count until today.  Unless your period cycles are very long, one would expect your period to come in only about three days.  Periods can be three days early, it's not unusual.

Probably, all said, it adds up to not getting pregnant this time.  Good luck for the future!

If its heavy bleeding then there is no way its implantation. It sounds like you started your period early.
