hey ladies im still in labor thnxx for the support i got the epidural at 8 cm i had to.get it cus i couldn't walk around at all they confined me to a bed so i couldn't walk or move through my contractions which really helps my water broke at 3:50 am they tried to give me pitocin i said no at ten i started getting contractions so i ate a drank water i got to walk around twice which helped i squated and bounced helped a ton when they checked me at 12 am i was 5 cm and when they checked me at 5:30 i was 8 cm that's when i got the epidural no pitocin and im going. v bac the best advice i can give is move during labor every time i moved i opened more and contractions hurt less but unfortunately i wasn't able to stay moving and dont jump to pitocin right away ur bodys meant for birth just try to be happy push lil by lil and u open up fast ill tell u guys how pushing goes

You reach your peak around 7-8cm this is when your contractions are there longest and closest together so you don't get much break! After that point you get through and then you'll be pushing soon :) get one if you feel like you need it, no shame in getting a helping hand! I'm sure you've read all about the pros and cons so do what feels best. Good luck

What pain relief did all you ladies get after 5cm? Just curious as iv heard that you can't have the epidural after 5cm xx

I stuck it out until an 8 then I got it, and I dont remember anything at all from my labor and delivery. I had to get told everything

I stuck it out till 7 and then it got too too painful and im not pain intolerant lol

if u can't take the pain then get it dont be shame of getting one. soon u be holding ur little baby in ur arms. stay strong its all worth it
