Yeah you have to feed when the baby is hungry and or pump milk when you need to. the milk goes away when your not breastfeeding along with the baby or regularly. tags what my home nurse said.
its a supply and demand thing, so if you breastfeed babes for all feeds, then you will produce enough milk to sustain him / her for as long as you feed. if you skip feeds to substitute with (formula) bottles regularly, that will slow down your production, so breastfeed on demand :) x
