induction on saturday

Well ladies, if my lil man isn't here by Saturday then they will be inducing me Saturday night. I am terrified!! Does anyone have any advice? Is there a special diet I should eat beforehand? Is there anything I should prepare myself for?

when  was induced , I went in to labor and delivery for being in pain so they told me by the end of the week if he isn't here come back , so I went back and they were like what u doing here ?hahha I was like , u guys told me to come back today if he was'nt here yet , so they were gonna send me home , but they decided to do an ultra and found out his water was super low , so they started the induction , I was eating mc donalts while getting induced hahah the nurse almost killed me when she saw it !! but yeah it was my most painfull and longest delivery of all 27 hours , being 25 hrs stuck on 2 cm , and they wouldn't give me no epi .. till I started acting like a crazy woman  , seriously after 25 hrs im dyinggggggg !! good luck to u , so exciting to know u will have ur baby soon

yeah i was 12 days overdue on the tues when i got the pessary, 13 days overdue when my waters wwere broken and exactly 2 weeks late when my son was born at 0529am x

I have to be in at 5pm. And i'm being induced because im overdue. Im a Ftm so I was nervous anyway and now this makes me more nervous. Lol. Im not sure what to expect! I just can't wait to hold my lil boy

Just try and relax and stay calm :)   I was induced twice - the first time I was 12 days overdue, they gave me the passary and sent me home again.   When it didn;t work, they admitted me the next day, let me walk about etc until a bed in Labour ward became available, broke my waters at 7pm and said I could walk about until contractions etc started, BD and I went to the lounge room and sat listening to radio while I bounced on birthing ball and my contractions started within about 10-15 minutes :) x

Im being induced tmro morning for medical reasons. All I was told was to be there at 7 am. I wasn't told not to wat after a certain time or anything. Just to call before we head out to be sure we can still come in. (Bc if the hospital is busy they reschedule bc they tend to the mommas who are already there and in labor on their own.)
I'm nervous too but it will be fine. I have Group B Strep so I will be on antibiotics for 4 hours before they start pitocin. But yay! We get to hold our babies soon! Congrats and good luck Sat/Sun with your induction.

Just prepare yourself for being in bed a lot before you deliver they monitor you the whole time. It's rough but it's worth it. Drink tons and tons of water and eat everything you can friday:)
