insurance question

Okay I'm so frustrated and confused. Once my husband and I got married we added me to his health insurance plan through work. I was on medicade which was a blessing and was relieved to switch since we had the financial means to. We finally got all my paperwork and new cards in the mail. I went to the doctor to find out the insurance is saying it's a pre-existing condition and not covered! After being on the phone for 3 hours they said that they made a mistake and my husbands plan, which he gets through his employer, doesn't even cover pregnancy! What really gets me is we called and made sure this wouldn't be a problem BEFORE we made the switch. If I reapply for medicade will I even be eligible? Is this a common thing for insurance companies to do?

I would call the ins. Co again.  That's one of the things that not considered as preexisting or at least is wasn't on my hubby ins and we have switched twice.  Sounds to me like the ins co is trying  to get out of paying.  Good luck.
