When I pre-register, they give me a packet that answers a lot of questions I might have.
I'm planning on asking a few questions when I pre-register. Like, Is any outside food allowed? (I hate hospital food.), How many visitors can be in my room at the same time? Can I bring my own baby blankets? Do you have pull out beds for my husband to sleep on? How long have you had your anesthesiologists and are they students or actual professionals? How young can the visitors be? That's all I have for now, but I'm sure I'll have more in the next couple of weeks.
Ask what their policy is on interns and student nurses. Personally I don't want any of those in my room. I know they're learning but they usually just walk in and out constantly and stick there noses in things. Like 5 if them watching one more of them TRY to stick an iv in. Pain in the a$$.
as she mention above I'll ask thoes questions and if you plan on having your daughter there ask if she is allowed to stay overnight or in delivery room when giving birth etc
Well this helps with questions I'd like to ask too lol. I always forget questions.
The most common questions I'm asked by new mom's are: what are the visiting hours? Will I be able to keep the baby in my room after delivery so me and my spouse can have some bonding time as a new family? Can the baby stay in my room if I stay overnight or does he/she need to spend the night in the nursery? do I have to keep my baby in the hospital clothes or can I put them in their own clothes?
