irregular periods

hey i been trying to get prego for awhile and i think maybe cause i have irregular periods like i get it like every 2 or 3 months and it last for like 2 weeks is there something i can take to regurlize my period so i can get pregnet faster

Hi, I have PCOS and have always had long irregular cycles with painfull periods. I started seeing an acupuncturist and chinese medicine man in sept. He gave me herbs to take and did acupuncture to improve fertility.  I ovulated by myself in nov on what should have been a 32 days cycle and i'm pregnant! I really recommend it! My next course of action was having a drug called clomid which promotes ovualtation but i opted for the natural approach first and i'm glad i did!

I agree with Joy go and see your dpctor as a two week period dosent sound right at all!!!! You could also try an ovulation kit once to help you pin point your fertile days. Good luck

You definitely should speak to your doctor about your cycle. Your periods should not last 2 weeks. They can prescribe a course of treatment for your cycles depending on what is causing you to be so irregular (endometriosis, PCOS, hormonal problem, thyroid issue, fibroids, etc.). Not wanting to scare you but I want you to be informed. I don't sugar coat things.

Once you find out what is going on you'll be able to address it and get pregnant lots faster!
