Yes the mans sperm does determine gender.  I'm hoping for a boy, we'll see in 3 weeks!

A males sperm are either an x or a y. A Females eggs are all x's.

X + X is girl
X + Y is boy

So the man's sperm is what determines the gender of the child.

Just because he was one of many boys does not mean you can't get a girl. It's a 50/50 chance. No matter how the past has played out.

My man is 1 of 5 boys. We are having a girl.

Its which ever sperm gets to the egg first, the sperm is either male or female so its a case of who wins the race, the male sperm can swim faster but dont live as long and the females are slower swimmers but live longer
