My insurance only covers 2 but I've had 3 done cuz they ****** up on my paper work and also my son didn't show certain limbs n organs... id love more but shyts so expensive
I get one every month for no medical reason that's just what my doctor does and I only have state insurance but even with my first pregnancy I had a different insurance and they did that. I think it depends on the doctor offices too because I have friends on state insurance and they only get 2-3 also.
I wish I was like that cause every one I have after 20 weeks I have to pay for!"
When I was pregnant with my daughter. I had 4 ultrasounds done total.
I've had three one us and two internal scans so far and I'm having another next week..
I'm only seven weeks !!
Where I live its free maternity care you only pay if you go private which is the exact same care but no queuing at appointments and you have a private room not a ward after delivery.
What happens people in your country who don't have health insurance? ?!!
My pic on this is from my scan at five weeks x
If you don't have Health insurance you have to pay for everything they do
If you don't get approved for the state insurance. You will need to pay for all your Healthcare cost out of pocket.
Isn't that crazy! Im so Happy I have insurance
Thats crazy! All maternity care here is free.. scans bloods delivery etc- so if a woman isn't approved how much would it cost all together?
Here private is about €900 for everything but neither public or private have a limit on scans!
I think some doctors just scan to pass time here!
It could cost thousands.. each ultrasound is about 200-300 dollars
Now its €180 to have a 3d scan done at a clinic as maternity hosp dosent do them but all others are included
2-3 hundred a scan! I fear to think cost of delivery! !
If you have insurance. It truly varies what they will pay. My doctor actually gave me a piece of paper with the cost of a Vaginal birth and c section.
I think I threw it away tho.
If I am correct the c section wa a little over 3,000
Ha! £900, I wish! That's a little over $1,200 here - average costs of maternity care and delivery can range anywhere from $9,000 - $250,000. Of course, that's without insurance, and there are a ton of variables that go into figuring the amount you pay (vaginal vs. cesarean, where you live, etc...), but still... $1,200 would be amazing.
This makes me thankful to be Native, otherwise I never would have had children.
In the UK you get two scans unless you have complications during pregnancy. If you want more scans you have to pay privately.
I have only had one US at 18 weeks and thats the only one I will have! I found out I was pregnant at 12 weeks so I misssd the first. I wish I could get one every week to see how my beautiful baby is growing!
Oh my word thats a crazy amount!!
I can't believe its so expensive! I'd be childless or home birthing if I was in America!!!
I feel guilty now_ I'll be thinking how lucky I am now and highly appreciating each scan !
I get three. 1 to make sure there is a baby there, the second one checks the anatomy of the baby, the third one makes sure baby is head down. I had an extra one to make sure my uterus wasn't bleeding
Esorelleinad does England not have an epu also?
The usual first scan is at 12 weeks but epu scan immediately.
England is free also if I'm not mistaken
